A couple of weeks ago I went to see one of my favorite band's at the moment Wild Beasts at Wilton Music Hall. The venue was absolutely amazing and the acoustics just stunning. I later found this double sided poster by noted photographer Jason Evans whose work has graced the whole campaign. This was then screen printed with a 5 colour fade at Loligo, an independent screenprinting studio based in De Beauvoir, London.
After an unsuccessful fishing trip in Wales last weekend we got back into London and decided to drown are sorrows. We headed down to Dave's local only to find that posterroast was sponsoring the one of the venues of the Camden Crawl 2011. They had a nice little set up with a screen bed set up and a array of posters including this Graham Coxon one by wethreeclub which is a well nice two colour A2 print with translucent red/glasses.
After the morning refresher we burnt are images and we finally got down to producing some prints. At first I found it a bit tricky getting the right pressure on the screen but soon nailed it. I went for a pastiche of the classic keep calm poster with a fishing twist and dave went for one of his unique illustrations.
After months of talking about how much we would love to get back into a print room me and my mate Dave decided to book ourselves in a screen print workshop at printclublondon. After year's of being out of the print room it was a great refresher and well recommended for brushing off the cobwebs and learning about screen printing...
